The bicycle lizard or frilled lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii) has a unique method it uses to escape from predators. The lizard opens its mouth wide and flares out its frills when it is frightened. This can startle a predator long enough for the lizard to make it to a tree and escape. The lizard runs upright during the escape.
