Video: Mesh Robot Moves Like Earthworm

Researchers have created a soft autonomous robot that moves like an earthworm. The robot, called Meshworm, is made from wire made from nickel and titanium. The robot mimics an earthworm's movement by contracting and releasing segments of its body. Researchers say that even if the robot is hit by a large object, it will continue to inch forward unharmed.
