Video: Visual System Can Identify Pastries in Seconds

A new computer system can identify baked goods on a tray in a matter of seconds. The system, developed by Brain Corporation in Tokyo, can be used for faster checkouts. It can also identify baked goods with different types of icing if the pastries are pointed in the right direction. The company plans to use the system in grocery stores and pharmacies to provide accurate pricing.
