This historic video features five volunteers standing at ground zero during an atomic test at a Nevada test site on July 19, 1957. They stood beneath the explosion of a 2-kiloton MB-1 nuclear air-to-air rocket launched from an F-89 Scorpion interceptor. All five volunteers - Colonel Sidney Bruce, Lt. Colonel Frank P. Ball, Major Norman "Bodie" Bodinger, Major John Hughes and Don Lutrel - lived to tell the tale.
