Amazing Video:30 Japanese Hornets Kill 30,000 Honey Bees

The Giant Japanese Hornet is the fiercest looking insect on earth, and one of the deadliest. This excerpt from a BBC documentary shows about 30 hornets attacking an entire hive of honeybees. The considerably larger hornets attack the bees and tear them apart in a few hours. At 2 in (5 cm) long and with a wingspan of about 3 inches (7.6 cm), there are not many insects that can get in its way. The smaller honeybees are from Europe and have never faced such a predator making them more vulnerable to attacks. The tired but victorious hornets then enter the hive to eat the honey and bee larvae.
