Adorable Video: Orphaned Polar Bear Cub Siku
This tiny polar bear cub is taken care of 24/7 by three people after his mother was unable to produce enough milk to feed him. The five-week old bear lives at Scandinavian Wildlife Park in Denmark and has drawn worldwide attention for his adorable antics.
Polar bears live within the Arctic Circle and surrounding areas. They are carnivorous and typically spend most of their time near the arctic waters or on ice sheets hunting seals to eat The population is in decline and polar bears are considered a vulnerable species. Cubs are born helpless and need to be nursed for two and a half years. Siku can grow to weigh more than 700 pounds and live about 25 years. Some bears live longer in captivity.
